Wow!! I wonder why you got kicked off the show in michigan. Good thing i didn't get tickets cuz u guys were the only reason i was going. Next time your in FLint, MI you should go watch the cars race. It's crazy. I went there tonight and it was soo packed and people were all drunk stupid and racing and stuff...pretty interesting..i'd think you guys would like it. They do it on Fridays and saturday nights. Around like midnight till the cops break it up which is very rarely. Next time you back in Michigan I definitly want to go!! I can't wait!! Hey guys, I think it is great what you are doing for all the kids. they really need someone who will speak for them through music. I am older than your typical fan I think; judging from what i have seen at your shows here is Syracuse, NY. Im 27 and I can still relate to what you guys are saying. I havent any kids myself but i find myself only hiring kids who have problems or whose parents dont pay any attention to them at my store. Many are less popular at school and it makes them feel good to work at a place that most kids see as "pretty flippin cool." I swear I know more about these kids than their parents do. they tell me everything and ask me what they should do. I feel bad that they dont feel comfortable speaking to those at home or have many friends. i can see the light in their eyes when your music comes over our store. They smile alittle more and rock out a bit. i love watching them. One of my girls just got wind that i used to be an art counselor before the flippin government took away our funding. Now she brings in all her friends to talk to me and most of the customers as well. A bit of pressure i do admit but being the nonconformest that i am i still take the time out of they day to listen. why not? no one else will. Except, perhaps, you guys and once again, they feel it the minute they hear your songs. Thank you for making my job that much easier and understanding about what is happening to these kids now. It started with us; generation x, the lost generation, the latch key kids and just seems to get worse. (And I didnt even learn that junk in college!) I went to your performance in Syracuse two nights ago, and I must say you are very talented musicians. I had heard "Bottom of a Bottle" and "Nowhere Kids" on the radio (Buffalo's New Rock 103.3 The Edge) before, however I wasn't familiar with the bulk of your material.

After you played, I was quite surprised to see you stayed to deal with your fans..not some ridiculous "5 bucks an autograph" thing, but a (somewhat) personal meeting with each and every participant.

Before your show I wasn't all that fond of your music for some reason, but afterwards, I wasn't able to stop listening to your Cd; your band is truly one of the best on and off stage, keep it up.

I have never been to a better show in my life! my friends and i saw you on the 12th in Clifton Park, you guys kicked ass! i caught one of the picks sean threw into the crowd, how cool is that. just wanted to say thanks for everything you've done, your lyrics and everything are incredible. im in a band with 2 other friends (im on guitar) and we really look up to you guys. being a girl band its hard to get as much respect and stuff, but we dont want to dumb down any of the lyrics just to be successful- we're hell bent on overthrowing the texan monkey. yea so thatnks for actually putting out music with actual credibility and straightforward messages. right now my favorite songs are all my problems and nowhere kids- theres no one here that actually knows whats going on in this "family" and i've tried to get out but still, they pull me back. the band's the only thing keeping me alive, and they've threatened to take away my guitars (what kind of crap is that)so thanks for making real music-theres not a lot of it out there anymore. rock on.

I went to bed at freakin' 10:30 pm last night when we were camping and some boys just walked right in our trailor..I was like WHOA!! lol..we met some SKATERS!! and sum really HOT kid who killed us with water when we drove by in our Golf Cart ((we rented for $150 for ONE DAY!)) Yeah it was great fun!! :)

I could never tell you enough how amazing you are. Your music is such an inspiration to our generation. There are so many other great bands out there, but I would rank you guys number one. Your lyrics really "hit the nail on the head". I am valedictorian of my graduating class, which is unbelievable considering the background I come from. I am just so sick of everyone telling me what to do and how to live my life. I know I can make it on my own and your music just helps me through it so much. I was just at the Clifton Park show last week and was planning on going to the Syracuse show but i had to work and my car ended up in the shop. hey derek, i think its AWESOME that you keep in touch with your fans like you do...i truly respect that. when/why did you start playing drums and what kind of drums do you use? i have seen SES live 2 times, and i have pics, and i THINK i saw that you were using pearls, but i dont even remember, and i dont know what happened to the pics! i play guitar, drums, bass, and so lately i've been wanting to save up some money and get some new drums but i cant decide if i want PEARLS or TAMAS. any advice for starting a band? i have an 8-track, so i just record myself playing drums, then record myself on rhythm and lead guitar, and then record bass and thats my only way to make music for now....i cant sing though! lol, hope you read this and reply but if you dont, its cool.

Long posts are fun. And besides, it's a lot easier than doing a whole bunch of short ones all the time like you do, Tiffany. If you put all your posts together, it'd be just as long as hers... if not longer! And atleast Kayla was talking to the band and not to everyone else ( like you and I are ). She's just having fun and it really wasn't pointless babble or anything.

Hey Guys!! How Goes it?
Im ok, bored as hell!! My summer isnt that good so far, hey today is the first day of summer! And for Tulsa,Ok its rain all week, this is the 4th week Ive tried to make plans for me and my dad to get away and go HOME to beaver lake, and it doesnt look like thats going to happen anytime soon cause its rain rain rain rain and more rain, but quoting my fav. actor....brandon lee(rip) IT CANT RAIN ALL THE TIME. I wish it were true(sighs) Dodgeball looks OK, My dad and I were supposta see it last night for fathers day, but we ended up stayin home.
Are you guys excited to play with FLAW??? I have never heard of Thornley....I will have to change that. I want to go to the Flaw show so bad....I almost talked my dad into it, but he cant get off work yet. We are going to Atlantic City,NJ to see Rush and Dream Theater in concert, Im only going for Rush. Ive already seen D.T. and I dont like them. But whatever dad wants is the way it goes, its ok to spend a fortune and to NJ to see them, the bands he wants to see, but its not ok to drive 30-45 min. to stillwater to see Incubus...my 2nd fav. band. He hasnt gone with me to see the shows i want to see in the longest time, the last show he saw with me that i wanted to see was the blues festival 2 years ago, but he wanted to go to that because of Little feet...i wanted to go for Jonny Lang, but it works. Anywho...sorry about that, that always pisses me off.

HEY GUYS HOW ARE YA? Sounds like things are going well for you, minus the MI show. That is interesting about your bus situation...I had that happen in Stockholm, Sweden. When my friend and I finally made it back to the train station, where we were planning on "staying" for the night b/c we were heading to Copenhagen the next day, it was freakin' closed! So, we ended up having to hang out on some park bench all night! Not fun at the time but a fun story to tell now. We actually did that twice...like once wasn't enough.
ANYWAY, after you guys get done w/all your west coast show are you going to continue to tour at all? Your only FL date as of now is too far away....I would drive it normally but it is during the week and I work. But, if I am not able to go back to work yet (off for recovery from surgery) I am thinking about coming up to ATL for your show. We'll see, I need to get back to work though. COME TO ORLANDO....HARD ROCK LIVE IS CALLING YOUR NAME!!!!!

Matter of fact when you opened for Shinedown in Jersey on 6/13 it seemed like half the joint cleared out after your set... not that Shinedown didnt rock the house too but I think the majority of people were there to see you guys... oh yeah, and Derek, that's a great story bout gettin lost in the city... it's not hard to do, believe me... the last time I went up to NYC was with my cuz to pick up her car that had broken down up there the day before... so we get on a train in Jersey and not 10 minutes into the trip a bridge was stuck open in our path so for 3 hours we just waited for them to fix the bridge. Finally they decided to just take everyone back to the station... well as soon as the train starts moving the bridge closes! So they turn us around again and we continue on to NYC... well by the time we got there the shop that fixed my cuz's car was closed. Well, we'd met some people on the train... u tend to just make ur own good time when ur stuck on a train for 3 hours...lol... so we decided to go to a show with them in the Village and take a later train home... so my cuz ends up gettin completely trashed and by the time we got back to Penn Station we missed the last train back to Jersey and ended up having to spend the night roamin the streets of NY until the shop opened at 6am so we could get her car. Actually turned out to be a pretty kick ass night after all... except that we both had to be at work for 9am! But we got to see a couple killer bands... met a bunch of cool people and ended up with a pretty funny story... anyway, u rock! take care man...

Dudes, seriously, an HOUR? THAT'S IT????!!!!! I finally got to see you guys live on the 17th, suffered through 2 hours waiting ouside the State Theater with a bunch of teenyboppers feeling completely ancient (I'm 32 - hubby is 30 and I'm pretty sure I was the oldest one there!!), suffered through Steriogram's set - they gave an awesome performance, but you couldn't understand a single word they tried to sing - and finally, SES took the stage. For an hour. That's it. It might have even only been like 45 minutes. I think I stood around for about 15 thinking you must just be taking a break!!! NOT ENOUGH FOR ME!!!!! I WANT MORE!! And Sean, dude, your voice is captivating, the lyrics full of angst and fury, don't hide behind your hair like you're afraid to be seen and heard!! You are extremely talented! Be proud of your music - we are rocking out to YOU guys, it would be nice to think you were ENJOYING yourselves!! Derek - I gotta say, my husband has been playing drums since he was 11 and I don't often watch someone play that I think is better than him.....well YOU are man. Full of spunk and really FEELING the beat. You are awesome. Ryan, the more out-going guy - you rock too, man. Thanks so much for all your posts to keep us updated and make us feel appreciated.
