whats up everybody its derek! This is my first entry. Computers are a pain in my ass, but Ryan has been helping me with it. now Ill be able to pop in and say hello whenever
anyways whats goin on? where do I start? I don't know. The shows have been amazing and they keep getting better and better. After the trapt tour we'll be out with fuel and hitting a lot of the same clubs again so I sure I'll run into some familiar faces. we are in portland right now about to play a radio show. it should be a crazy show, hopefully no rain!!!!!
Since this is my first time here, I would like to thank everyone of you for all of your support and comments. You guys are the reason we are here and we'll never forget that. I seriously think we have the best fans in the world. we have had shows where you guys are singing louder than Sean. That's awesome.
Whoa! Our tour manager Chuck(deep inside me) just put on some Bon Jovi so I having trouble staying focused.
Speaking of Bon Jovi, I did some kareoke and sang "Living on a Pray" a few weeks ago with a cover band. It rocked at least I thought.
Oh ya, one more thing, anyone living in the LA area should check out my brother's band FRACTIONAL at the Trubadour, Saturday Sept. 6. They rock and its not just because he's family, and if you don't live there, check out fractionalmusic.com
Anyway time to go, this wasn't so bad, I think I'll be back. Keep saying hi at the shows and online and we'll keep in contact. so I'll see later
DEREK
hey guys its ryan again. im sitting at my house in la just chilling out. it feels great to be home for a few days. im still recouperating from our show in austin texas on sat. night. heres what happened:
Some retard didnt tape off the edge of the stage, so when the stage lights are going i cant see anything. So at the end of our set, when we were playing bottom of a bottle i walked up to the front of the stage and just as i stepped past my stage monitor my foot slipped and i fell off stage. My right arm hit the baracade forcing my left hand that was holding the neck of my guitar to slam quickly into my face. i then landed on my back on an angled piece of steel that was supporting the baracade. i got up and my knees where weak and blood was gushing from my mouth and nose all over my face. oyster(our roadie) and some random security gaurd escorted me backstage where i was iced down. that shit was not cool.
At least im ok. if i would have fell a diffrent way my head could have hit the baracade and the fantastic damage could have been way worse. oh well, my nose is still sore, i keep picking out bloody boogers, and my back is fucked. if that aint rock and roll i dont know what is...i reckon im ok and ready to play a show tonight at the anaheim house of blues here in socal. well i gotta go kids, i still gotta pack-laundry is a motherfucker
peace rYaN (the brown one)
this is for anyone who downloading our music off the internet. the songs rain, and the diffrence are our old songs. we dont play them anymore. the song sleepwalking is not ours. in fact that shit sucks ass
thanks again
whats up everyone its ryan (the brown one) just wanted to let everyone know whats been going on in the past week or so.
The past few night out with trapt have been unbelieveable! we played at bogarts in cincinatti (i cant spell) it was amazing to see a sold out crowd that knew all the lyrics to ALL our songs. it was also cool to see some familiar faces from the last show we played there. thanks to everyone who was there for giving us so much love.
Last night we played at the agoura ballroom in cleavland oh. sold out 2,000 people... that shit was one of the most intense shows kids were loving it. it felt very good. i then precedid to drink jim beam sign autographs and watch the mr. show dvd box set (good shit you should buy it). anyways... i just wanted to take a second and thank some folks:
