headlining is the poop!

HOws everybody doing. It's Derek. Last time I wrote we were in oregon. Since then we went out with FUEL, and Puddlle of Mudd. Both tours were great. We've been very fortunate to be with bands that treat us with a lot of respect. Also, at every show all you guys(the fans) were easy to pick out. I love smile fans!! You're loud, obnoxtious?, and rowdy. Even though we were out numbered at these shows we made our presence known.
THe energy that you give us we throw right back at you. Literaly, I mean at some of the shows, we actually got in trouble for throwing to much water and crap at the audience, but its a rock show, you're supossed to get wet and dirty, RIGHT!!!!!!
The Puddle tour was short(7 days) but we got close with the guys. So close in fact that Greg(puddle's drummer) came out on our last song of our last show, dressed up as a NUN with a sign for my bass drum that said FILL EMPTY HOLE
Oh ya, and a cup of PEPPER that he threw on my snare. I hit and couldn't see at all. I had to play the song with me eyes closed. It hurt like HELLLLL!!
But we got the back. WE dumped crushed cereal and chips all over them and rubbed in their shirts. I also shoved a banana down Paul's(the guitarist) pants. THe crowd loved it. WES also shot SEAN with a fire extinguisure and we had to evacuate the entire 2nd floor. That was one crazy night.
After that, we went on our own. Our shows have been amazing!!! A venue filled with smile fans, no matter how many, always turns out to be one rockin show. We are goin west till DECEMBER and then In JANUARY we will be back out on the road. Thankyou so much for all the support and all the kickass e-mails. we'll see ya real soon!!! LATER PLAYER!!!!!!!

i know its been forever

hey guys its been a while.... we have been keeping pretty busy on the road. we just wrapped up a short tour with puddle of mudd. it was really cool doing shows with those guys. they rock hard and they are really cool guys.
prior to the puddle of mudd tour we were touring with fuel, and those were some amazing shows. now that we are done with that we are doing our own headlining shows with steriogram and reach 454. both these bands are cool as shit and tonight we are playing together at pieres in ft. wayne in. Pieres is a cool venue because it is connected to 6 other small clubs and it is joined in the center with one big stage. after we play we are all going to go to the karakoe bar and and get wasted. steriogram has insisted that at 2am we watch the big new zealand vs. australia rugby game. those guys dont fuck around when it comes to rugby... anywho just wanted to drop a quick line to let you all know we are still alive and derek will probably do a journal entry in a few days.

peace out kids
